Wildflowers in Winter

Grandma's Black Eyed Susans

I've been painting wildflowers. In the middle of a freezing, cold winter in Florida. It's been so cold it snowed the other day enough to make a snowball! This painting is an acrylic on heavy paper. It is inspired by a photograph I took of some black eyed susans growing thickly near the place where my grandmother lived in West Point, Maine. I am working on three other wildflower paintings also.

The kittens are getting big. Puffy's on the island taking care of them while we are on the mainland stocking up on supplies.

We have a little bit bigger boat. It was very inexpensive and it's great. Love it.

Capt. got a battery and we took that with us to the island. Car battery. We used that to recharge my cell phone, computer, rechargeable batteries, and ds. Pretty cool.

I've also painted two more in my series of six little acrylics of Homosassa, Florida. Need to do one more to complete the set. Will post those soon.

Not too much else going on. 29 new twitter followers! Thanks to everyone who follows me. More later.
